This article is right on, what has happen to Portland over the last 30 plus years is to my mind outrageous. We have local government, who’s attitude is its our way or the highway, regardless of what the citizens think.

Both my husband and myself were born, raised and attended local universities as did our parents, we are love the area, but in view of what has and is happening are seriously looking at moving to Washington State.

If Mr. O’Toole wants to start a revolution count us in. Caroline

    Funny Paper hit piece

For years we’ve been reading “Monday Profiles” in The Funny Paper, where they publish a fluff piece on some certified interesting person around the town. The person they choose is almost always some cultural or political liberal, and the treatment they receive is uniformly positive.

thats how it starts one then get better

the shot at vancouver went too far, hit too close to home. if portland adopts vancouver, BC’s qualities all the better for it. dan, maybe you think i shouldnt be a planner, while i think its unfair for you to make character judgements about me from a few offhand remarks i made or to imply that i dont “get it.” so im sorry if i attacked planners, but i was just in a bad mood…i swear! 🙂 i think i can accept that planning isnt perfect, but that the “free market” isnt either, there should be a balance between the two.
