Don’t believe the nonsense you read in the newspapers. I live around thousands of them in the Seattle area. They’re as dumb as fence posts. My non-Indian software engineer friends, both white and asian, are constantly complaining about the low quality of their “work”, their inability to approach problems creatively, their inability to collaborate effectively or meet deadlines in a meaningful manner, and the time the contractors have to spend fixing mangled up code written by Indians. Hiring managers have needed to devise coding tests to weed out the “rote memorization” “skill”, which is about the only thing an Indian is good at.

A city like Shenzen in some year like 2014 probably built more skyscrapers in that year than the rest of the world combined. But there’s no innovation behind it. China hasn’t figured out how to produced stronger steel w/ 18 % less input resources. China hasn’t figured out how to build a 32 story skeyscraper for 22% of the previous cost. There’s no actual innovation, just activity that ticks some boxes.
Well, that’s corrupt government sponsored activity. The real innovation is in the private sector. What’s the last thing you had that was made in India? Clothes, some low end plastic trinket. Chinese are at least 30 points higher average IQ than Indians.
