Not the Reinvention I Had in Mind

When I said that transit agencies needed to reinvent themselves, this is not exactly what I had in mind.

What’s next: Rotary Club meetings on the SMART train? Garden club meetings on a VTA bus? Business conferences on a Muni streetcar? City council meetings on a cable car?

Taking BART round-trip from one end of a line to the other can cost as much as $22.90. Since people could easily find less-expensive, not to mention quieter, places to hold their meetings, I suspect Books on BART won’t become very popular.
