Predictably, the Federal Transit Administration posted July ridership data the day I left town. Trying to analyze a 15-MB spreadsheet on an iPhone is not easy. If I read the numbers right, transit systems carried just 66.4 percent of 2019 riders in July 2024. I’ll have a more detailed analysis when I return.
